Locum Psychiatrist – Hospital-Based | No Call | Full-Time

We are seeking a Psychiatrist to provide inpatient psychiatric care in a hospital setting. This role offers a structured schedule, manageable patient volume, and a strong multidisciplinary support team.

Position Details:

• Facility Type: Hospital
• Practice Setting: Inpatient Psychiatry
• EMR: Epic
• Unit Size: 45 beds (average census ~33 patients)
• Patient Volume: ~8 patients per day
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Contract Length: 3 months, possible extension
• Patient Population: Adult
• Conditions Treated: Bipolar disorder, depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, substance use disorders, personality disorders

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
• Diagnose and manage mental health conditions
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Prescribe and manage medications
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Active Massachusetts medical license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA required
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient or relevant psychiatric experience
