Pediatric Pulmonologist Needed | Full-Time Locums | Academic Medical Center

A prestigious academic medical center in Chicago is seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Pulmonologist for a full-time locum tenens opportunity. This role offers a balanced schedule between inpatient consults and outpatient clinic with very rare callback, making it ideal for physicians looking for a stable and respected assignment.

🔹 Position Overview:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
• Shifts: 5x8-hour day shifts per week
• ~30 hours/week inpatient consults
• ~10 hours/week outpatient clinic
• Call:
• Weeknight and weekend call required
• Callback is very rare (0–4x/year)
• No phone call responsibilities
• Patient Load:
• Outpatient: 8–10 patients/day
• Inpatient: 1–4 patients/day (primarily post-PICU)

🔹 Requirements:

• Board Certification: Required – Pediatric Pulmonology (ABP)
• Licensure:
• Must hold IL license or be IMLC-eligible
• Willing to license IMLC candidates only
• Certifications Required:
• BLS, PALS, DEA, CSR
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in pediatric pulmonology
