How you'll make an impact in this role
As a Pediatric Palliative Care Physician, you will join a deeply committed, well-established interdisciplinary team to provide compassionate, holistic care for children and families navigating serious illnesses. Dell Children's is the only pediatric hospice program centered within a children's hospital in Texas.
+ Deliver comprehensive palliative and hospice care across inpatient, outpatient, and home-based settings to ensure continuous comfort and the highest quality of life for patients and families.
+ Collaborate with a diverse interdisciplinary team—including nurse practitioners, social workers, chaplains, and child life specialists—to wrap comprehensive clinical and emotional support around families in Central Texas.
+ Shape the future of the field by teaching and mentoring medical students, pediatric residents, and adult palliative care fellows through our academic partnership with Dell Medical School.
+ Champion innovative programs like our perinatal palliative care and pediatric hospice initiatives to meet the unique, sensitive needs of families from the very beginning of their journey.
+ Provide leadership and vision for Dell Children's at Home perinatal pediatric hospice and palliative care program.
+ Call coverage is 1 in 3 at home call

What minimum requirements you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
