  • The Duke Anesthesiology Division of Neuroanesthesiology is seeking full-time Neuroanesthesiologists at all three Duke hospitals in the Triangle area.

    Ideal candidates

    1. BC/BE in anesthesiology with a commitment to teaching and research, in addition to clinical care.
    2. Fellowship training in neuroanesthesiology is preferred, or significant experience and expertise in the field.
    3. Neurocritical care experience would be an asset, but is not required.

    Role Highlights:

    1. Clinical care of neurosurgical patients, including a growing volume of both patients undergoing cortical mapping and endovascular procedures
    2. Resident and fellow education, including simulation and advanced airway management
    3. Participate in and/or develop research and quality improvement projects
    4. Leadership opportunities may be available for the interested and qualified candidate

    About The Division

    The Division of Neuroanesthesiology is nationally recognized for excellence in basic neuroscience research, clinical research, and neuroanesthesia education, including the neurosurgical anesthesiology fellowship, accredited by the ICPNT. Learn more about Duke Neuroanesthesiology.

    The Division covers a large and rapidly growing neurosurgical and interventional neuroradiology practice. Intraoperative MRI & CT imaging and endovascular neuroradiology suites increase the range of surgical capabilities integral to the neuroanesthesia practice. Duke University Hospital is a Level I trauma center, a JCAHO Certified Stroke Center, and home of the world-renowned Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center.
