Vitruvian Health (formerly known as Hamilton Health Care System) and Hamilton Physician Group (HPG) are recruiting a Developmental **Behavioral or Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician** for Anna Shaw Children's Institute.

The Anna Shaw Children's Institute at Hamilton Medical Center, Dalton GA is seeking a Developmental-Behavioral or Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician to join a comprehensive care team focused on providing direct, high quality coordinated care to address the range of developmental and behavioral health challenges, medical complexities and therapy needs of children with developmental delays. Care will be provided in our 54,000 square foot freestanding care institute integrating children's services in one building.

Qualified candidates:

  • Board certified or eligible in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics or Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics
  • Candidate should possess leadership skills emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration, partnership building, and advocacy for children and families
  • Demonstrated focus on family-centered care for a wide range of children with neurodevelopmental disorders
  • Possesses vision for the future of persons with disabilities in society
  • Ideal candidates will have an interest in teaching and the ability to work as a team member
  • Commitment to quality, patient safety and overall excellence in evidence based clinical care
  • Proficiency in developmental-behavioral evaluations and management of pediatric developmental and learning disabilities, complex neurodevelopmental conditions, ADHD, genetic disorders and other special health care needs, with close partnership with primary care medical home providers

Practice Overview:

  • Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Fridays for documentation
  • Growth opportunities exist for program development, and leadership
  • Candidate will have a significant impact on the quality-of-care delivery and health outcomes for the region including outreach presentations for families, providers, community, and conferences
  • Pediatric Clinic with a mix of new and established patients
  • Multidisciplinary care for children with autism, including applied behavioral analysis (ABA) services
  • Clinical support team including an Educational Resource Coordinator to help families engage effectively with their school system
  • Integrated behavioral health services
  • Care of children with neuromuscular conditions
  • Interdisciplinary Neonatal Neurodevelopmental Follow Up Clinic

Department Overview:

  • Onsite Pediatric Therapies: PT, OT, SLP
  • Onsite Provider Team: Developmental Behavioral Pediatricians, Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists, Licensed Professional Counselor, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Registered Behavior Technicians, Social Worker, Educational Resource Coordinator and Nurse Care Navigator
  • Community Offerings: Family Support Network and a robust local support for our programs
  • Teaching medical students and family medicine residents during their developmental behavioral rotation
