Four Winds name was inspired from a passage in Ezekiel “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain that they may live and the breath came into them and they lived.”

The founder, Dr. Sam Klagsbrun’s mission was to make sure every patient is treated with dignity and respect. Today, Dr. Sarah Klagsbrun, a board-certified child & adolescent and adult psychiatrist, continues her father’s vision.

Inpatient units are housed in cottages with an on-grounds school, creative arts therapies and a recreation center. Treatment is tailored to the ages and needs of the patients.

Four Winds is a teaching hospital affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

• Job Repsonsibilities
• Medication management for a caseload of patients
• Coordinating care with outside providers and families
• Participating in treatment team meetings
• Other responsibilities as needed (restraint and seclusion coverage)
• Rotating back-up coverage
• Qualifications and Skills
• New York State medical license
• ABMS Board Certified or Board eligible
• Graduated from ACGME or AOA approved training program
• U.S. citizen (Four Winds cannot sponsor visa applications)
• Provides patient-centered care
• Enjoys a fast-paced environment and manages time effectively
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Compensation
• Base salary of $350,000 with generous retention bonus after 5 years
