University of Miami Medical Group Staff Physician - Gastroenterology

The University of Miami Health System, Miller School of Medicine is initiating a search for a Gastroenterology Staff Physician.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide direct outpatient care to GI patients primarily at the Uhealth Doral Location [9 half days] Opening Fall of 2024
  • Provide outpatient clinical and endoscopic services who require Gastroenteorlogy/Hepatology services, or screening procedures
  • Maintain outpatient and endoscopic procedures at Uhealth Doral

DESIRED QUALIFIATIONS:

  • MD/DO Degree
  • ACGME US Internal Medicine residency
  • BE/BC in Internal Medicine
  • BE/BC in Gastroenterology
  • Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)
  • Must be able to provide prerequisite case logs for procedures for prior two years for credentialing
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques
  • Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
  • Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care
  • Current BLS certification required. ACLS
  • Valid DEA licensure
