Pediatric Hospitalist Physician in California - Day and Night Shifts Available

Inpatient pediatric coverage in Chico, California with multiple 12-hour shift options, APP support, and procedures required.

Highlights

• Choose 12-hour day shifts or night call; no supervision needed
• 7+ shifts/month preferred; only 3 required to start
• Open dates for fall, winter, and ongoing

Practice Setting

• Level II NICU with 6 beds, plus 5-bed pediatric floor
• No neonatologist; pediatricians attend high-risk deliveries
• Transfer team and ED support available
• Baby-friendly hospital using EPIC and Dragon

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts: 7a-7p (day) or 7p-7a (night)
• Average 5-8 night calls, ~4 in-person visits
• Must see ED patients within 12 hrs; critical patients within 3 hrs
• APPs available on weekday rounds

Cases and Procedures

• ED consults, high-risk deliveries, neonatal resuscitation
• C-sections, intubation, UAC/UVC line placement
• Well-baby rounding in collaboration with community pediatricians

Requirements

• Board Certified Pediatrician
• Active California license
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, DEA required
• Comfortable with full-scope inpatient pediatrics

Travel Accommodations

• Flights, lodging, rental car, and mileage reimbursed
