Banner Health's CardioVascular Institute (CVI) of North Colorado is seeking an Advanced Cardiac Imaging Cardiologist to join an existing team of physicians and advance practice providers. Based in Northern Colorado, the Banner Cardiology team provides coverage at 2 hospitals in Northern Colorado, located 30 minutes apart. Banner North Colorado Medical Center (NCMC), located in Greeley, CO, is a 223-bed, level 2 trauma center with two fully equipped & dedicated Cath Labs, 1 Hybrid OR and 1 dedicated EP Lab. The interventional, EP and cardiac surgery teams provide comprehensive and high-quality procedural cardiovascular services at NCMC. Banner Fort Collins Medical Center (BFCMC), located in Fort Collins, CO, is a 22-bed acute care hospital with predominantly non-invasive outpatient cardiology services offered at this location. There are 3 clinic sites within northern Colorado, located in the cities of Greeley, Fort Collins and Loveland. There are also 6 outreach clinics that are staffed by CVI cardiologists. Within the Banner Medical Group, there are ~90 employed Primary Care Physicians and Advance Practice Providers which serve as a robust referral base to the cardiology practice.

Required Qualifications & Essential Functions

  • BC/BE in Cardiovascular Medicine, echo, nuclear, CT, MRI
  • Completion of Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship or equivalent experience
  • Imaging responsibilities include interpretation and performance of advanced cardiac imaging:
    • Cardiac MRI
    • Cardiac CT (CCTA and structural heart imaging)
    • Advanced echocardiography imaging (TTE, TEE, strain, stress echo)
    • Nuclear cardiac imaging
  • Close collaboration with:
    • Structural heart and valve programs
    • Electrophysiology and interventional cardiology
    • Current advanced cardiac imaging cardiologists
  • Participation in daily clinical operations, imaging protocol development and quality improvement.
  • Infrequent night & weekend call for full-time cardiologists due to long-standing utilization of per diem cardiology physicians to cover these shifts. (Currently, the full-time cardiologists cover about 15% of the total weekends and 30% of the weekday night call per year)
  • M-F: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 4-day work week.
  • Outpatient Clinic Volumes: 16 patients/day, although higher clinic volumes are allowed for physicians seeking to build a larger practice

Banner Health's Compensation package includes:

  • Annual Compensation of: $650K-$850k, inclusive of base + productivity pay
  • $1,500 per month for Fellowship Stipend
