Dermatology Locums Opportunity - Bay Area CA

We’re seeking a board-certified Dermatologist for a 5-month locums opportunity in California, at an academic-affiliated facility. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-supported environment with no nights, weekends, or holidays required.

📅 Schedule Details

• Monday–Thursday: In-person clinic coverage split into 8 half-day sessions   • Hours: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: Telehealth half-day doing e-consults (store & forward format)
• Call: Light daytime call only, during clinic hours (typically 1 consult/day, handled during lunch or after clinic)

🧑‍⚕️ Work Environment

• Setting: Academic & hospital-based, mostly outpatient
• Support:   • Dedicated MA, LVN, scheduler, and exam rooms   • Full-time schedule M–F
• Patient Volume: 20–25 patients/day
• Patient Population: Adult only
• EMR: EPIC
• Case Mix: General and complex medical dermatology
• Procedures: Basic punch, shave, and EDNCs – No Mohs surgery

✅ Requirements

• Board Certified in Dermatology
• Active CA license – No licensing support
• Active DEA & BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of dermatology experience
• Experience in academic/teaching settings preferred
• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus

​

⏱ Credentialing Timeframe

• Approximately 90 days
