The University of Miami, Department of Pediatrics, is recruiting a Pediatric Cardiologist with special interest and experience in non-invasive and advanced cardiac imaging to join its academic and clinical program based at Holtz Children's Hospital within the Jackson Health System. This is a full-time faculty position with academic rank commensurate with clinical and academic experience and accomplishments. The faculty member will also see patients in both the outpatient and inpatient settings both at Jackson Main Hospital and at satellite UM Pediatric Cardiology Clinics, and is expected to participate actively in research and the training of medical students, residents, and fellows.

The UM/Holtz Children's Heart Center offers the full range of diagnostic and procedural services, including neonatal, pediatric, and adult congenial cardiac surgery, interventional catheterization, and invasive and noninvasive electrophysiology procedures. The Children's Heart Center operates programs in adult congenital cardiology, non-invasive and advanced cardiac imaging, fetal and neonatal care, and heart failure/mechanical circulatory support, all supported by cardiac anesthesiologists, cardiac critical care specialists, and cardiac-focused nurses and advanced practice providers.

The Department of Pediatrics also serves two other hospitals within the Jackson Health System, which is the third largest hospital system in the US. Outpatient cardiology activities occur at several sites throughout Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties.

Desired Qualifications:

  • MD/DO required
  • Board certified/eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida
  • Exceptional clinical acumen and significant teaching experience are encouraged to apply
  • Demonstrated research success is preferred
