  • The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine in conjunction with IU Health Physicians, are expanding its team as it transitions to a subspecialized service. The department is seeking to jointly recruit a surgical pathologist with subspecialist expertise in Head and Neck pathology, to join its faculty. Those experienced in a second subspeciality area will be considered as well. The Pathologists will be based at the IU Health Central Pathology Laboratory (IUHPL) located in downtown Indianapolis. The Pathology team serves 10 hospitals within the IU Health Network and Eskenazi Health. Anatomic pathology is currently comprised of 55 pathologists, with this expansion plan adding additional subspecialized pathologists. The academic rank of the appointment will be determined by qualifications and level of experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver professional diagnostic services within anatomic pathology

    • Provide on-call coverage and conference support with department faculty members

    • Actively participate in educational activities with medical students, residents, and fellows

    Qualifications:

    • Must be board certified in anatomic pathology or anatomic and clinical pathology

    • Must be qualified for licensure in the state of IN

    • MD, DO or equivalent education

    • Ideal candidate has three to five years of post-fellowship experience
