The Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) division at Hackensack University Medical Center is

seeking board-certified/board-eligible pediatric emergency medicine physicians to join our

dynamic team. We offer a diverse and collaborative environment with opportunities for

leadership in clinical operations, medical education, quality improvement, and research.

Practice Details:

  • Full-time or part-time clinical faculty positions are available.
  • Located at Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital, the largest children’s hospital in New Jersey,
  • within the Hackensack Meridian Health Network in Hackensack, NJ.
  • Serve a diverse patient population with a wide range of clinical needs.
  • High-volume ED with approximately 45,000 annual patient visits, offering a mix of high and low
  • acuity cases.
  • Designated Level II Pediatric Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons.
  • 15-bed PICU with 24/7 intensivist coverage.
  • Robust subspecialty support is readily available.
  • Double PEM physician coverage for high-acuity patients in the main ED.
  • Dedicated fast-track area with additional provider coverage for ESI levels 4 and 5.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, timely, and consistent care.

COMPENSATION:

Starting Base Salary: $226,554

Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.

Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the specialty and/or sub-specialty.

Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered. 

In addition to our compensation for full-time and part-time (20+ hours/week) positions, HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.
