Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic and growing Radiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team. This unique role offers the opportunity to practice across both Interventional Radiology (IR) and Diagnostic Radiology (DR), giving you unparalleled procedural experience and clinical depth.
What You'll Do: The Role's Focus
This position is designed for an APP seeking a high degree of procedural autonomy and clinical mastery. You will become a central figure in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality care across two critical departments:
Interventional Radiology (IR) - High Autonomy Procedures
Perform Independent Procedures: Take ownership of essential image-guided procedures, including Central Venous Catheter (CVC) placements, GJ tube exchanges, and Lumbar Punctures (LPs).
Comprehensive Clinical Management: Assist our Interventional Radiologists with the full scope of patient care, including consultations, obtaining consents, conducting History & Physicals (H&Ps), and performing a variety of bedside procedures.
Diagnostic Radiology (DR) - Specialized Fluoroscopy
Execute Complex Studies: Independently perform a wide range of fluoroscopic examinations, such as video swallow assessments, esophagrams, Upper GI (UGI) studies, Small Bowel Follow-Throughs (SBFTs), cystograms, and CVC studies.
Impact and Collaboration:
Lead Quality Improvement: Contribute your expertise to organizational and departmental continuous performance and quality improvement projects.
Collaborative Care: Partner closely with attending physicians, specialist teams, and other healthcare members to ensure effective, safe, and efficient patient pathways.
Education and Research: Play an active role in education and research initiatives for our patients, their families, and the broader healthcare team.
Required Education and Experience:
Master's degree in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nurse practitioner program OR graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant program.
One year work experience in a pediatric or family focused clinical area.
Required Credentials:
For Nurse Practitioners: Active, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington
Current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner
For Physician Assistants:
Active, unencumbered physician assistant licensure in the State of Washington
Initial certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
For All Providers:
Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)Some clinical locations may require American Heart Association Pediatric Life Support training and continuous maintenance of certification.
