Practice Setting

• Mix of inpatient and scheduled outpatient
• Level I trauma hospital support
• Strong ancillary team: IR nurses, techs, and shared resident support

Schedule

• Weeklong blocks with optional weekday daytime shifts
• Call coverage typically required one week at a time
• Typical hours 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM; emergency flexibility expected

Cases and Procedures

• Core IR focus: bleeding embolizations, nephrostomy tubes, biopsies, drainages, dialysis catheters
• Occasional PE thrombectomies
• No Y-90 or peripheral vascular cases

Requirements

• California MD/DO license + Fluoroscopy certification
• Board Certified or Eligible in Interventional Radiology or Diagnostic Radiology with VIR fellowship
• At least 1 year post-fellowship preferred, but strong new grads considered

Travel Accommodations

• Airfare, rental car, and lodging reimbursed
• Mileage covered if driving in-state

Other Details

• Clean files can credential in ~90 days
• Interview process: phone screen, then virtual meeting
