Highlights

Practice Setting
- Mix of inpatient and scheduled outpatient
- Level I trauma hospital support
- Strong ancillary team: IR nurses, techs, and shared resident support
Schedule
- Weeklong blocks with optional weekday daytime shifts
- Call coverage typically required one week at a time
- Typical hours 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM; emergency flexibility expected
Cases and Procedures
- Core IR focus: bleeding embolizations, nephrostomy tubes, biopsies, drainages, dialysis catheters
- Occasional PE thrombectomies
- No Y-90 or peripheral vascular cases
Requirements
- California MD/DO license + Fluoroscopy certification
- Board Certified or Eligible in Interventional Radiology or Diagnostic Radiology with VIR fellowship
- At least 1 year post-fellowship preferred, but strong new grads considered
Travel Accommodations
- Airfare, rental car, and lodging reimbursed
- Mileage covered if driving in-state

- Clean files can credential in ~90 days
- Interview process: phone screen, then virtual meeting
