Job Summary:

Akron Children’s Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Endocrinologist to join its dynamic Endocrinology team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to children with endocrine disorders and diabetes while collaborating within a multidisciplinary environment. This position offers strong clinical support, opportunities for academic involvement, and a competitive compensation package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric endocrine disorders and diabetes
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment and management plans
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurse practitioners, dietitians, social workers, psychologists, and laboratory staff
• Participate in specialized clinics such as Turner Syndrome, Thyroid Disorders, and Gender Affirming Care
• Support diabetes education initiatives and annual diabetes camp
• Engage in clinical research, quality improvement, and educational activities as appropriate
• Educate patients and families on endocrine conditions and long-term disease management
• Provide teaching and mentorship to medical students and residents
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Adhere to hospital policies and comply with federal, state, and local regulations

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology
• Eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the state of Ohio
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to family-centered, team-based care
