The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking a board-certified/eligible physician (MD, DO, or MD/PhD) with specialized training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology to serve as Clinical Director of Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and grow a high-impact program within our expanding Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with divisional, departmental, and institutional leaders to shape the future of pediatric stem cell transplant and cellular therapy at UVA. Responsibilities include clinical leadership, direct patient care (both inpatient and outpatient), program development toward FACT accreditation, and mentoring trainees. Faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level will be commensurate with experience.
You will join a dynamic team of pediatric hematology/oncology specialists with strengths in malignant and non-malignant hematologic disorders, pediatric sarcomas, CNS tumors, CAR T cell therapy, and immunotherapy. UVA offers a rich, collaborative environment with strong ties to the UVA Comprehensive Cancer Center, Carter Immunology Center, and Child Health Research Center.
- Lead clinical operations and growth of the Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant & Cellular Therapy Program
- Work in a multidisciplinary, research-informed academic medical center
- Collaborate across a nationally ranked health system with robust support and infrastructure
- Participate in clinical and/or translational research

- Advanced training in stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies
- Clinical experience with autologous/allogeneic transplants and CAR T-cell therapy
- Expertise or interest in FACT accreditation program development
- Commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork, teaching, and mentorship
