Physician – Noninvasive Cardiologist – Cooperstown, NY

 

Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a Noninvasive Cardiologist to join our staff.

​

Bassett Healthcare Network is an integrated health care system that provides care and service to people living in an eight-county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York.   

 

Job Description & Responsibilities

Provide clinical and consultative care within the hospital and office setting. We offer a full range of noninvasive testing including MRI, CT, echo and nuclear cardiology. We have a busy noninvasive lab with over 10,000 echos and 2000 nuclear scans yearly, with dedicated reading time. To include:

·         Outpatient, Inpatient and Regional Patient Care

·         Integrated EPIC Electronic Health Record

·         Medical and Rural Surgery residency programs, Cardiology Fellowship

·         Faculty teaching of our cardiology fellows, internal medicine residents, and medical students

·         Night call three times monthly with fellow and resident support

·         Salary Range: $600,000 - $700,000. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards

·         Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap.  Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.

·         Sign-on bonus up to $200,000

·         Group Employed Model

·         Cardiac Cath Lab with STEMI and structural program. 

·         Electrophysiology program with full range of device implantation and ablation programs. 

·         Cardiac surgery service. 

·         Medical school campus in conjunction with Columbia University and active teaching program.

 

Qualifications

·         MD, DO or MBBS

·         Board Eligible/Board Certified in ABIM Cardiovascular Disease

·         New York State Licensure

·         BLS Certification Required

·         DEA Required
