Sept-Dec - 18-20 shifts each month (mainly nights)
Credentialing Timeframe: 6-12 weeks. Temp privs are available
Job Details:
- Stabilization/treatment of single or multiple trauma including: perforation of thoracic or abdominal visc, cardiac arrest, acute CHF, respiratory failure, acute GI bleeds, precipitous delivery, hemorrhage, ectopic pregnancy and psych cases
- APP coverage to assist: Mon-Thurs - 10a - 8p, Fri - 10a - 6p, Sat/Sun - 10a - 4p
- Needs to be comfortable covering rural hospital cases
- NP/PA's cover walk in clinic
- Patient Volume: 13,000/year – Avg 37 in 24 hour shift
- Hospitalists respond to codes, ER physician acts as backup
- EMR: T-System
- Client Requirements: Must be Emergency Medicine board certified or board eligible. Must have an active Maine license or active IMLC
- Will pay for all travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance
