    Are you a passionate and board-certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist seeking a leadership role? We have an exciting opportunity for you to lead our Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Unit at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland.

    Role Overview:

    As the inpatient BHU Medical Director for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, you will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and ensuring exceptional care for our young patients. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Leading quality and performance initiatives to maintain the integrity of the BHU.
    • Representing Child & Adolescent Psychiatry in hospital meetings and acting as the primary contact for related topics, both clinically and administratively.
    • Participating in program development and expansion efforts.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Ensuring psychiatry providers meet hospital volume and quality expectations.
    • Participating in provider recruitment, orientation, and performance management.
    • Being available for clinical escalation during emergencies.
    • Attending meetings as the Medical Director of the psychiatry service line.
    • Conducting psychiatric evaluations and diagnosing patients.
    • Prescribing and monitoring medications, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
    • Providing crisis intervention and completing clinical documentation.
    • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess and adjust treatment plans.
    • Coordinating care with case managers and stakeholders, providing referrals and education to patients and families.
    • Offering virtual outpatient psychiatric services when required.

    Requirements:

    • Maryland licensure or willingness to become licensed.
    • Board certification or eligibility in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
    • Preferred willingness to become licensed in other geographies.
