The Department of Medicine and the MedStar Georgetown Cancer Institute at MedStar Washington Hospital Center - one of the largest and most respected hospitals in the Mid-Atlantic - are seeking a dynamic Section Director of Hematology Oncology to lead, grow, and innovate within our cancer program. This is a rare opportunity to build on a strong clinical foundation while advancing a bold vision for equitable, high-impact cancer care across Washington, DC. As a leader in comprehensive cancer care, the Institute is affiliated with the only NCI-designated cancer center in Washington, D.C. The Section Director will work clinically at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, a 912-bed academic medical center, and will benefit from strong support including advanced practice providers, research staff, and administrative resources. The position also includes an academic appointment at Georgetown University and an opportunity to play a pivotal role in transforming cancer care throughout the region.

Compensation Details

$308K–$504K

This position has a hiring range of USD $308,500.00 - USD $504,107.00 /Yr. The hiring range is the range MedStar Health, in good faith, believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from posting based on work experience, education and/or skill level, etc. Even within the range, the actual compensation will vary depending on the above factors as well as market/business considerations. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable under the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans. The amount and availability of any bonus, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in MedStar Health's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at MedStar Health's sole discretion, consistent with the law.
