Hospital/unit questions · Number of beds? · Census? · How many daily admissions? · Are there any consults and if so how many per day? · What’s the patient population? · Trauma center? Types of cases? Acuity? · What does the support staff look like? · How will follow up cases be handled? when applicable- inpatient or outpatient Specialty Specific Questions: EM · What are the shift times? 7a-7p 7p-7a · Is call involved? no · How many patients are they rounding on per day? 2 patients/hour · Will they round in the ICU? no · What does support staff include? · Are procedures and vent management required? · What specific procedures are required? · Daily census? 26 encounters/day in 24 hour period. ·
