  • Job Summary:

    Alameda Health System is seeking a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Radiologist to join our team. This per diem position will provide diagnostic radiology services across our hospitals, including Highland Hospital, San Leandro Hospital, and Alameda Hospital. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of imaging interpretations, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the advancement of patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Image Interpretation: Analyze and interpret various diagnostic images, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and X-ray, to diagnose and monitor medical conditions.
    • Patient Care: Work closely with referring physicians to discuss findings, provide diagnostic reports, and offer recommendations for further testing or treatment.
    • Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality imaging and diagnostic accuracy through adherence to established protocols and standards.
    • Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including radiologic technologists, surgeons, and oncologists, to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of diagnostic findings and patient care interactions.
    • Continuing Education: Stay current with advancements in radiology and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited institution.
    • Certification: Board Eligible or Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology.
    • Licensure: Possession of a valid license to practice medicine in the State of California.
    • Additional Certifications: Valid DEA license.

    Work Environment & Schedule:

    • Location: Services will be provided on-site at Highland Hospital, San Leandro Hospital, and Alameda Hospital.
    • Schedule: Per diem position with day shifts as needed.
    • Compensation: $259.41–$269.62 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

    Compensation Details

    $220-270/hour

    The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization. Alameda Health System also offers eligible positions a generous comprehensive benefits program.
