    The Addiction Physician provides leadership and administrative oversight of the facility’s medical services while fostering collaboration among medical, nursing, and clinical teams. This role oversees medical staff, dietitians, and physician services coordination (where applicable), while maintaining active clinical responsibilities either an Addiction Medicine Physician.

    Position Summary

    The Addiction Physician provides leadership and administrative oversight of the facility’s medical services while fostering collaboration among medical, nursing, and clinical teams. This role oversees medical staff, dietitians, and physician services coordination (where applicable), while maintaining active clinical responsibilities as an Addiction Medicine Physician.

    The physician delivers exceptional patient care aligned with the ARS philosophy established by the Chief Medical Officer. Responsibilities include expertise in detoxification protocols, withdrawal management, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), medical assessments, and management of complications related to substance use disorders.

    • Provide high-quality medical care utilizing evidence-based practices and ASAM criteria.
    • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
    • Develop and oversee detoxification and medication-assisted treatment protocols.
    • Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer, Associate CMP, and Executive Director to develop and maintain medical policies, procedures, organizational plans, and quality assurance initiatives.
    • Review and update medical policies and procedures annually, ensuring communication with medical and nursing staff.
    • Assist in planning and budgeting for medical services in partnership with facility leadership.
    • Support department performance metrics including compliance, documentation quality, treatment completion rates, outcomes, and readmission reduction efforts.
    • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all electronic health record documentation in compliance with company policies, state regulations, Joint Commission standards, and Medical Needs Criteria.

    Compensation Details

    $350K–$400K

    BENEFITS: Scheduling flexible, required to be onsite & some on-call Pay: Competitive & negotiable salary starting at $350k + annual bonus and monthly incentives CME: $5,000 per year reimbursement  Malpractice: Free liability protection, the PLI policy also covers you if you leave the company should it be needed for the time period of your employment Paid Time Off: 6 weeks of paid time off per year Retirement: 401K + match Insurance: Health, Vision, Dental, Life & Telehealth access Matching HSA -up to $1500 a year contribution from the company to your HSA
