Locums - Burn Surgeon needed in CA

Job Highlights

  • Contract Length:  6 months, options to extend, long-term need

    Shift Details:  Looking for around 30-35 shifts of coverage/mo

     

    2 shift types needing coverage:

     

    1) Daytime shift coverage, 8 hours including surgeries, inpatient coverage, and clinic coverage

     

    2)24 hour call coverage that includes 6-8 hours of onsite coverage doing clinic coverage, rounding, admissions, and consults. After onsite coverage concludes, provider will take call until the following morning.

     

    Work Details: 

    • Support staff:  Generally 2 burn surgeons working concurrently. Outpatient burn clinic has a dedicated NP.
    • Amount of coverage needed per month:  30-35 shifts
    • Patient population/age: Adults
    • Department description:  Facility has both inpatient and outpatient burn units. There is an outpatient burn clinic. Surgeons split time between inpatient coverage, clinic coverage, and 24 hr call.

    • Clinic
    • Hospital

    Requirements:

    • Board Certification:  Board Certification in Surgery required. Fellowship in Burn surgery required.
    • License required:  CA license, may be open to licensing candidates
    • DEA:  Yes required

    Open to new grads

    Must have experience working with inpatient burn surgery cases
