Join an established OB Hospitalist program in Des Moines, Iowa, offering a true shift-based model with no call responsibilities and a focus entirely on inpatient obstetric care. This opportunity provides predictable scheduling, strong subspecialty support, and the ability to care for a high-volume obstetric population within a collaborative hospital environment.

Position Highlights

• OB Hospitalist role focused on inpatient obstetric care with no clinic responsibilities
• Manage OBED patients, unassigned emergent cases, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and GYN procedures
• High-volume program with approximately 3,000 annual deliveries and a dedicated OBED seeing approximately 1,400 visits annually
• Practice within a hospital featuring a Level III NICU, multiple labor suites, and comprehensive postpartum support
• Access to MFM specialists and a dedicated maternal transport team
• Fully shift-based model with no call responsibilities

Schedule

• Approximately 78 24-hour in-house shifts per year
• Flexible scheduling structure designed for predictability and time off

Candidate Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible Obstetrics & Gynecology physician
• Comfortable managing OBED patients, deliveries, and surgical cases
• Open to experienced physicians and new graduates
• J-1 and H-1B visa sponsorship available
