Psychiatrist needed for CPEP unit/Generous Retirement/Benefits starting at $308k plus bonus/incentives

Stony Brook University is the premier academic medical center in Suffolk County, New York.  The University Hospital offers the community state-of-the-art care including for patients presenting with acute psychiatric problems.  Services include the only Suffolk County Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP).

Shifts totaling 40 hours per week which will consist of (4) 10 hour afternoon/evening shifts from 1pm-11pm, and includes one weekend shift per week. Cross-coverage as necessary.

The Clinical Assistant Professor will be responsible for psychiatric evaluation and management of patients in CPEP/ED of University Hospital.  The Clinical Assistant Professor will also be responsible for teaching and supervision of medical students and residents.

Salary starting at $308,000/year plus an overnight differential rate.  Eligibility for a production incentive bonus.

Required Qualifications:

MD with New York State license. B.E./B.C. in Adult Psychiatry

Preferred Qualifications:

1) Clinical Experience in Emergency Psychiatry.

2) Clinical Experience in Psychiatry Consultation & Liaison Service.

3) Previous leadership activity experience.

4) Previous experience teaching and supervising of medical students and residents.
