Inpatient Vascular Neurologist - Inova Fairfax Hospital - Trauma 1 -Near Washington DC Metro Area

Inova Neurosciences is a regional leader in the diagnosis, treatment and research of complex neurological conditions involving the brain, spine and nervous system. We are seeking a Vascular Neurologist to join our team!

The ideal candidate should have completed a vascular fellowship, but also possess a strong interest in all of general clinical neurology.  The responsibilities of this position are to provide primarily inpatient vascular care, with potential for outpatient stroke clinic care.

 

Join our well-established group of 40 Neurologists and 21 APPs, 3 neuropsychologists.  Our Vascular Neurology team is supported 24/7 by dedicated neurocritical care and interventional neuroradiology teams, providing comprehensive care for all cerebrovascular disorders.

 

Our physicians care for patients at Inova’s five hospitals (Inova Alexandria Hospital, Inova Fairfax Hospital, Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, Inova Loudoun Hospital and Inova Mount Vernon Hospital), physician offices and outpatient and rehabilitation treatment locations. Our comprehensive research program is committed to the advancement of treatment protocols. Our surgical volumes rank among the highest in the nation. We have robust neurosurgery residency program and host a range of medical education offerings. The Inova Neuroscience and Spine Institute employs a multidisciplinary approach so that patients and their families experience expert, coordinated care beginning at diagnosis  throughout treatment.

Qualified Candidates:

·         Board eligible/board certified in neurology

·         Completion of Vascular Fellowship

·         Vascular/Stroke Experience Preferred

·         Hold or able to obtain a Virginia state medical license and VA DEA

·         Able to obtain and hold full Inova Privileges
