Gadsden Regional Medical Center and Women’s Health Partners are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN to join a supportive, highly established group practice. Located in a scenic riverfront community, this full-time role replaces an outgoing physician and provides an immediate, robust patient volume with an even 50/50 mix of OB and GYN.
As the only hospital in the county providing labor and delivery services, Gadsden Regional Medical Center offers an exceptional market position with high income potential, state-of-the-art robotic capabilities, and dedicated administrative and clinical support. Both experienced physicians and new graduates are encouraged to apply, with mentorship available for physicians starting their careers.
Position Highlights
- Balanced Schedule: 3 clinic days per week (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, M-Th; 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Friday) and 1-2 dedicated OR days per week
- Guaranteed Block Time: Enjoy guaranteed OR access, including robotic privileges (da Vinci systems on-site)
- Call Structure: 1:4 weekend call rotation with additional call compensation and a half-day off post-call. Average 2-3 deliveries per call shift
- Proximity & Convenience: The clinic is located just 500 feet from the hospital for seamless transitions between clinical appointments and labor coverage
Practice Model & Facilities
- Team Structure: Join 3 OB/GYNs, 1 Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM), and 1 Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Clinical Volume: 50-60 clinic patients per day supported by 6 MAs and 2 dedicated Ultrasound Technicians
- Delivery & Surgical Suites: 4 Labor & Delivery rooms, 5 triage rooms, and 2 dedicated OR rooms for C-sections
- Annual Volume: ~650 annual deliveries
- Technology: Cerner (Hospital EMR), Athena (Clinic EMR), and robotic surgical platforms
Candidate Requirements
- Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
- Licensure: Eligible for an active Alabama medical license
- Experience: Open to both experienced physicians and new graduates (mentorship available)
- Skills: Robotics training/experience required
- Visa Support: J-1 waivers available (H-1B sponsorship not available)
