Pediatric Hospitalist | Take great care of the patient, every day and in every way

Overview

Pediatrix is seeking a per diem, experienced Board Certified Pediatric Hospitalist to provide coverage at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence, KS Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include covering the newborn nursery (which may include Level II NICU), attending high risk deliveries as requested, circumcisions, covering the pediatric floor, providing consults in the ED as needed, phone consultation from community physicians and admitting and co-managing surgical patients.
• The census between the NBN and Pediatric floor is 6-12 patients per day.
• Physicians are in the hospital from 8 am - 4 pm and on call from home.
• The community has 9 pediatricians who have the hospitalist cover their patients in the hospital.

Qualifications

• KS licenses or active IMLC required
• Board Certification in Pediatrics with recent hospitalist experience required
