Job Description :
- Provide expert neonatal care to (60-bed regional perinatal center) and 6-bed Level 2 NICU).
- Manage and lead NICU operations as Medical Director or participate as Associate Medical Director, ensuring high-quality clinical care and operational excellence.
- Oversee advanced NICU services including high-frequency ventilation, whole body cooling, and nitric oxide therapy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric and maternal-fetal medicine subspecialists, pediatric surgeons, and neonatology team members.
- Support medical education by working with Virginia Tech School of Medicine students and residents (pediatric and family practice).
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and participate in research projects within the Virginia Neonatal Perinatal Collaborative.
- Provide clinical coverage including day shifts, on-call, and weekend duties as needed.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and participate in leadership meetings and committees.
- This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required.

- Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Neonatology - REQUIRED * no exceptions
- Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain – REQUIRED
