  • The Valdosta, GA Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic is recruiting a Primary Care Chief! Direct and supervise the clinical care activities of the physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses on our team. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) to provide comprehensive, coordinated, continuous care to a very manageable sized adult Veteran patient panel. Primary Care services feature preventive and patient-centered care approaches and offer a wide variety of specialty care services that include Women’s Clinic, Laboratory & Vaccinations, Wound Care, Mental Health Care, Nutrition & Weight Management, Pain Psychology, Social Work, Substance Abuse & Tobacco Cessation, and Telehealth Services. Mon-Fri only; no on-call. Leadership experience in an ambulatory care or outpatient care setting is required. Board certification in IM/FM preferred.

    Assistance with payment of relocation expenses is available! Sign on bonus available! Assistance with payment of med school loans up to $200K may be available.

    Compensation Details

    $200-320k

    Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP): Eligible *See "Additional Information" section below for more details.
