How you'll make an impact in this role
Ascension Seton is looking for an APRN or PA with Oncology Experience. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide medical services to patients at our Infusion and Oncology Clinic located in Austin, TX.
* Join an established team off 4 physicians and several fellows
* Practice setting: outpatient
* Employed position within a nonprofit health system
* Deliver comprehensive clinical assessments for oncology patients receiving chemotherapy and biotherapy, actively managing side effects and modifying care plans to ensure safe treatment delivery.
* Educate new patients and families on chemotherapy and biotherapy regimens, empowering them with a clear understanding of their treatment pathways and symptom management strategies.
* Lead rapid intervention for urgent clinical findings by serving as the primary point of contact for emergent lab and imaging results from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, ensuring swift, critical course corrections.
* Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of oncologists and oncology nurses to proactively prevent, identify, and manage treatment-related complications, optimizing patient outcomes.

What minimum requirements you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience:
- 1 year of experience preferred.
