Job Summary:
Join one of the largest full-scope midwifery groups in Virginia! CMG Women’s Center provides comprehensive women’s healthcare across the lifespan to a diverse patient population. Services include prenatal care, labor and birth support, postpartum care, reproductive health, wellness care, and gynecologic services for women and non-binary individuals.
Deliveries are attended at Centra’s Virginia Baptist Hospital, a Baby-Friendly and Magnet Certified facility with supportive in-house consulting physicians, anesthesia coverage, and a Level II NICU.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide full-scope midwifery care including prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum, and gynecologic services
• Manage and support physiologic birth while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams as needed
• Perform wellness exams, reproductive healthcare, contraceptive counseling, and preventive care services
• Participate in labor management and delivery coverage at Virginia Baptist Hospital
• Develop individualized treatment and care plans for patients across the lifespan
• Educate and empower patients regarding pregnancy, postpartum recovery, reproductive health, and wellness
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice development
• Perform or be willing to learn procedures including first assist for cesarean births, circumcisions, IUD/Nexplanon insertion, and Group Prenatal Care
Qualifications:
• Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) certification required
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nurse-Midwifery from an accredited program
• Active or eligible Virginia RN and APRN licensure
• DEA certification or eligibility required
• Experience in full-scope midwifery preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply
• Interest in collaborative, patient-centered care delivery

• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills
