Locum Cardiologist - 2 weeks a month

A Level 1 trauma center in West Virginia is seeking a Board-Certified Cardiologist for a long-term locum assignment. This role offers a flexible schedule with two weeks per month coverage and no call responsibilities.

Position Details:

• 📅 Start Date: As soon as credentialed – through September 1, 2025
• 📆 Contract Length: 1 year (minimum preference due to training requirements)
• ⏰ Shift: 8-hour days starting at 7 AM or 8 AM
• 🗓 Schedule Options: Monday–Friday or 7 days on / 7 days off
• 📞 Call: None

Work Environment:

• 🏥 Setting: Hospital-based, inpatient only
• 🧑‍⚕️ Support Staff: NP/PA support available
• 👥 Coverage: Approximately 2 weeks per month
• 📋 Patients: ~10 patients/day
• 🏨 Hospital Size: 1,078 beds
• 🏥 Department: Inpatient consults only; no ICU or follow-up care

Required Skills:

• Cardiograms
• Nuclear Stress Tests

Qualifications:

• ✅ Board Certification: Required
• 🪪 Licensure: Active WV license or IMLC eligible
• 💊 DEA Registration: Required
• 📜 Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
• ⏳ Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60 days
• 🏅 Experience: Minimum experience required (details to be discussed)
