Neurology / Stroke Acute Care Nurse Practitioner- MedStar Health

MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center (MFSMC), a member of MedStar Health, is seeking an experienced nurse practitioner to join their multidisciplinary team focused on state-of-the-art stroke management.
The ideal candidate will preferably have at least two years of tertiary-level inpatient experience, neurology, neurosurgery, or stroke-related experience. In this role, the NP will be a first responder for stroke patients presenting to the emergency department. S/he will perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, initiate acute TPA orders and diagnostic imaging studies, and will further develop diagnostic treatment plans in collaboration with the attending neurovascular interventionalists, stroke neurologists, and neurocritical care specialists. In addition, the incumbent may assist with patient management in the interventional suite.
As an integral member of the team, the NP will have a keen interest in the continued growth and expansion of the neurovascular intervention program as MFSMC is a Comprehensive Stroke Center.

The service at MFSMC represents an expansion of MedStar Health’s neurovascular intervention program, the largest and most experienced in the area, employing ten (10) neurovascular interventionalists across the system in Baltimore, Washington, DC, and Virginia. The program is a part of the larger MedStar neurosciences platform that includes subspecialties neurologic care in all areas of neurology and neurosurgery.

This position has a hiring range of $115,000 - $143,619.

Compensation Details
$115-143k
The hiring range is the range MedStar Health, in good faith, believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
