  • Summary of Position: We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate Psychiatrist to provide high-quality psychiatric services to a diverse patient population, including adults, children, and adolescents. As a member of our clinical team, you will play a key role in assessing patient health, diagnosing conditions, and developing and implementing effective care plans that promote positive clinical outcomes.     Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Collaborative Care Leadership:

    • Lead and collaborate with Advanced Practice Practitioners (Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants) through collaborative practice or delegation agreements.
    • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to advance the clinical expertise of team members.

    Comprehensive Psychiatric Care:

    • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and offer medication management to ensure optimal treatment plans.
    • Take a holistic approach in recommending treatment plans that are age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and practical.
    • Serve as an active participant in treatment team meetings, contributing your expert knowledge in psychopathology and psychopharmacology to enhance clinical decision-making.

    On-Call and Emergency Support:

    • Participate in a shared on-call rotation, providing emergency psychiatric services (with additional compensation) during both daytime and nighttime hours.

    Clinical Excellence:

    • Monitor and manage patient care through regular follow-ups, ensuring care plans are adjusted as needed for optimal outcomes.
    • Effectively communicate with patients and their families to ensure they understand their diagnosis, treatment plans, and the importance of follow-up care.
    • Empower patients by promoting active participation in their own health and wellness journey.
    • Respond to consultation requests from colleagues and external providers in a timely, professional manner.

    Clinical Leadership & Community Engagement:

    • Serve as a clinical resource for colleagues and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
    • Actively participate in clinic meetings, community outreach, and professional activities that promote the mission of our organization.

    Patient-Centered Care:

    • Prescribe and order appropriate ancillary services to support comprehensive patient care.
    • Manage chronic conditions effectively and contribute to positive long-term health outcomes.
    • Collaborate with a network of healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the highest level of care.

    Qualifications:

    Education & Training:

    • Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
    • Completed a three-year residency in Psychiatry.

    Experience:

    • 0-3 years of experience preferred, but all qualified candidates are welcome to apply.

    Certification & Licensure:

    • Unlimited license to practice medicine in Indiana.
    • Board Certification in Psychiatry is preferred; Board Eligibility required.
