Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible physician assistant.
  • Hospitalist experience preferred.

**Practice in the Heart of the Community**

Flexible Scheduling:

  • Shifts for the day rounding position are scheduled from 7 am to 7 pm.
  • Shifts for the swing position are scheduled from 11 am to 11 pm and 3 pm to 3 am for admissions.
  • Shifts for the night position in observation are scheduled from 7 pm to 7 am for admissions, rounding, and discharges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a day clinician in the observation unit, your responsibilities will encompass admitting, rounding, and discharging.
  • The observation unit is very fast-paced, and we are looking for individuals who can handle an ever-changing environment.
  • Our hospitalist team plays a pivotal role in the rapid response team, and codes are managed by the intensivist team. All team members are certified in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support. There are no procedural requirements.
  • We hold weekly huddles and monthly team meetings in addition to lunch-and-learn sessions to stay current on the latest developments in the field of medicine, at the hospital, and with Sound.
  • We work in Meditech Expand, a web-based system, with access to our internal informatics platform.
  • We are entertaining candidates looking for full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts.
