    The Opportunity:

    The Birth Suites at Holmes Regional Medical Center provide physicians the opportunity to work within Brevard County’s only Level II NICU and Pediatric Emergency Department. The 10-bed NICU is staffed 24/7 by experienced neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, and specialized nurses, offering advanced care for medically complex newborns. Modern, private birth suites support labor through postpartum care with in-room nurseries, family accommodations, and lactation support. This combination of high-acuity neonatal services and a patient-centered environment creates a strong, collaborative setting for physicians dedicated to maternal and newborn care.

    OBHG OB/GYN Hospitalists are the in-house experts whose ability to handle any obstetric emergency dramatically improves patient safety and satisfaction.

    A day in the life includes:

    • Caring for all pregnant women who present emergent, regardless of circumstance
    • Cultivating relationships with staff nurses and hospital personnel
    • Supporting private practice physicians by providing coverage and assistance
    • Caring for unassigned patients
    • Evaluating and treating triage patients
    • Providing consultation to the ED
    • Monitoring labor
    • Delivering babies
    • Performing surgery and surgical assists

    As an OBHG clinician you are the in-house expert. You'll improve patient safety, reduce maternal mortality rates and help alleviate physician burnout. A typical work day might include collaborating with local private-practice OB/GYNs, assisting with emergent cases, caring for unassigned patients, overseeing residents or meeting with hospital leaders to design a new quality initiative.
