Internal Medicine Physician in Reading, PA

TeamHealth is hiring a full-time (5 days per week) inpatient rehab physician (internal medicine background) to do rounding in an inpatient rehab facility in the Reading, Pennsylvania, area. Key Responsibilities: * Perform internal medicine (IM) care in an inpatient rehab setting * Manage chronic disease, diagnose illnesses and medical conditions, and implement plan of care * Order and interpret lab results * Prescribe and monitor medications * Consult with physicians and coordinate patient care with other healthcare practitioners * Educate patients and their caregivers on coping skills to handle chronic and age-related conditions * Build relationships with your patients, patients' family members, and facility staff to facilitate effective treatment delivery * Promote healthy lifestyle changes

Requirements: * 1+ years internal medicine experience required * Direct IRF care experience a plus, but not required * Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania license  * Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania DEA with prescriptive authority
