** Practice Setting**

• Level III NICU caring for moderately complex cases
• Employed neonatologist team supported by NPs
• OB team handles deliveries unless complications arise
• Locum only steps in for extra coverage during NP absences

** Schedule**

• 7-14 shifts per month across a mix of days and nights

• Commitment is 1-2 weeks/month—consecutive not required

  • Choose from three shift types
  • Day Short shift includes pager coverage after rounds

** Procedures and Cases**

• Moderate-level care, including IVs, ventilation, and prematurity
• Critical neonates are transferred out
• Rare need to attend deliveries

** Requirements**

• Active California medical license
• Board Certification in Neonatology
• PALS certification required
• At least 1 year of experience in NICU setting
