Practice Setting
- Mix of inpatient and outpatient IR, with onsite reading
- Adult-predominant patient mix, occasional pediatrics present in the ED but typically transferred elsewhere
- Support includes an IR lead, PACS administrator, rad tech support, and nursing support
- Hospital-wide imaging volume is about 150 studies per day, including about 50 ED or STAT studies
Schedule
- Weekday daytime coverage, onsite
- Scheduled hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
- Minimum commitment is 2 full days per week onsite; they are targeting 2 to 3 days per week
Cases and Procedures
- Must be onsite to read and perform diagnostic mammograms
- Breast biopsies and needle localizations make up the majority of volume
- Fluoroscopy, drainages, dialysis access and cath lab work, and other IR procedures
Requirements
- Must be an MD or DO
- Mississippi medical license in hand; or active IMLC
- Board certified or board eligible within 5 years in Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology
- DEA and Fluoroscopy certification
