  • The Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh school of Medicine (UPSOM)/University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) is seeking a dedicated, collaborative rheumatologist with superb clinical acumen to join our team as a member of our faculty. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to provide specialized, interdisciplinary care to patients with Sjögren's Disease and Vasculitis at the UPMC Sjögren's Disease and Vasculitis Centers respectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in participating in Sjögren's and Vasculitis clinical trials to advance both patient care and research. Experience in musculoskeletal, vascular, and/or salivary gland ultrasound would be a highly advantageous asset, though training can be provided.
    * Must have an MD or equivalent,
    * Be board certified in Internal Medicine and be BC/BE in Rheumatology with the ability to obtain an unrestricted PA license.
    * Must have completed an accredited fellowship in Rheumatology.
    * H1B visa sponsorship available. Additional visa sponsorship can be discussed

    Opportunity Details

    * 4-day work week
    * Dedicated clinics at the University of Pittsburgh Sjögren's Disease Center
    * Dedicated clinics at the University of Pittsburgh Vasculitis Center
    * Sjögren's and vasculitis clinical trials
    * Minimum of 6 inpatient weeks per year (negotiable)
    * Provide quality rheumatology instruction, training, and mentorship in the inpatient/outpatient settings to medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals
    * Interact with their academic and basic science colleagues in the Division of Rheumatology and the Department of Medicine as part of their employment; this includes but is not limited to attending division and departmental faculty meetings, serving on committees; working to solve /address quality concerns and attending grand rounds
