  • The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Neurosciences at the University of Minnesota is seeking a full-time, board-certified/eligible Ophthalmologist with fellowship training in Glaucoma to join our growing academic practice.

    Position Highlights:

    • Join a team of 40+ faculty members across all subspecialties, including two Glaucoma Ophthalmologists.
    • Practice primarily at the University of Minnesota, with potential opportunities at affiliated Twin Cities sites.
    • Access to state-of-the-art imaging, laser, and diagnostic technology in a top-ranked Clinic and Surgery Center.
    • Academic responsibilities include clinical care, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as mentoring and curriculum development.
    • Opportunities for clinical research and collaboration, with support for faculty development and external research funding.
    • Participation in national ophthalmology organizations encouraged.

    Qualifications:

    • Completion of an Ophthalmology residency and fellowship in glaucoma.
    • Board certified/eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
    • Eligible for Minnesota medical licensure and DEA certification.
    • Meet criteria for credentialing and privileges.

    $325-492k

    Compensation & Benefits: Market competitive salary based on AAMC benchmarks: $325,000 – $492,450 (commensurate with experience and effort). Dual employment with the University of Minnesota Physicians (clinical salary) and the University of Minnesota (academic salary). Substantial employer 401K contribution.
