Join Our GME Psychiatry Team

Parkview Health is seeking Board-Certified General Psychiatrists to join our Parkview Behavioral Health Institute and GME Psychiatry Residency Program in Fort Wayne, Indiana, as we work to meet the growing mental health needs in our community.

Specifics of The Role:

• Schedule: Monday – Sunday, 12-hour shifts
• In-patient consultations and rounding
• We serve a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric adults.

CLINICAL & TEACHING Leadership:

Daily Resident Mentorship: Provide bedside teaching, case reviews, and feedback during rounds and interdisciplinary meetings.

Supervision: Deliver 1 hour of formal weekly supervision; provide graduated oversight for all resident cases.

Clinical Excellence: Deliver evidence-based, equitable psychiatric care while maintaining PPG compliance.

Evaluations: Complete Clinical Skills Verifications (CSV) and end-of-rotation performance evaluations.

ACADEMIC & ADMINISTRATIVE Engagement:

Didactics: Lead 2+ modules and teach 12+ hours of residency didactics annually.

Scholarly Activity: Engage in at least one annual scholarly project (independently or with a trainee).

Committees: Participate in two residency committees (CCC, PEC, Admissions, or QI).

Forums: Attend monthly faculty meetings, case conferences, and Grand Rounds (presenting once annually).

Recruitment: Participate in 4 interview days per season (Oct–Dec).
