How you'll make an impact in this role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated independent Advanced Practice Provider to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected Urgent Care Clinic, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.
* Join an established team of 1 physicians and 7 APPs
* Practice setting: Urgent Care
* Access to onsite X-ray and laboratory services for rapid diagnosis
* Employed position within a nonprofit health system
* Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
* Evaluate, diagnose and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuries in a fast-paced urgent care setting
* Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests including X-rays, laboratory studies, and point of care testing
* Provide procedures such as wound repair, splinting, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, and other urgent care interventions within scope of practice
* Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 1 year of experience preferred.
