Inpatient Psychiatrist ($240-$270/HR) in Riverside CA

ExMed, Inc. is actively searching for qualified Psychiatrists for an immediate locum tenens contract position at Emergency Inpatient facilities in Riverside County.

Assignment Details

• Type: Locum Tenens Independent Contractor (1099)
• Shift: Part-time or Full-time Available
• Contract remuneration: $230-260/HR
• Commitment: 6-month minimum, with the option to extend if mutually agreed upon.

Practice Description

• Providing direct patient care, including work with individual patients, their families, families, and significant others;
• Providing consultations with other staff regarding patient care, and medical and diagnostic work performed; Participating in the peer review program and compliance program;
• Providing services to diverse patient populations served at RUHS-BH operated sites: adults, older adults, children, adolescents, and individuals with a co-occurring diagnosis (mental health and substance use disorders);
• Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team planning;
• Conducting and coordinating appropriate physical, psychological, laboratory, and radiologic assessment of patients to determining needs;
• Prescribing medications;
• Referring patients to other human service agencies and consult with such, as required;
• Authorizing involuntary detention and transfer to hospitals as required;
• Completing medical records and billing timely and accurately. Psychiatrists are expected to be skilled at documenting and billing using RUHS-BH electronic health records. It shall be the responsibility of RUHS-BH to appropriately train Psychiatrists on the use of RUHS-BH’s electronic health record system; and
• Attending training as required by the Medical Director and their designee(s).

Qualifications

• Active California Medical License, NPI, Basic Life Support
• DEA - California ONLY. Must not state "Exempt/No Fee"
• Criminal Background Check and Drug Test required
