Job Duties:

• Provide psychiatric, diagnostic, and therapeutic services to patients.
• Conduct psychiatric examinations and evaluations.
• Make diagnoses and prescribe therapy.
• Conduct individual and group psychotherapy.
• Consult with psychologists, social workers, and other community agency staff regarding psychiatric aspects of their work.
• Confer with patients’ relatives regarding illness and treatment.
• Maintain medical records and prepare reports.
• Assist in establishing psychiatric programs and policies.
• Assume other responsibilities as required.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

• Graduate from an accredited medical school.
• Valid California Practice License and DEA license.
• Completion of a four-year residency training program in Psychiatry approved by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
• Interest in designing and evaluating efficient psychiatric care systems in a community health center setting is highly desirable.
• Commitment to Omni Family Health’s mission.
• Ability to relate to the public regardless of ethnic, religious, and economic status.
