Locums - Pediatric Hospitalist - Wisconsin

Location: Wisconsin (2 hours NW of Madison)

Hospital Details: Level 2 nursery

Start: July, ongoing

Shift Options: 7 days x 12-hour shifts or (1) 24-hour shift with a 12-hour break before next shift

Credentialing Timeframe: 45 days

Job Details:

• Setting: Inpatient
• Patient Volume: Average census for the unit is 3-4 patients. Around 10 deliveries per week, or roughly 600 deliveries/year
• Locum will only be rounding in the nursery (not the Pediatric patients on the floor). FP Residents round on the Pediatric patients on the floor.
• Duties include care for patients affected by prematurity, respiratory distress, infectious diseases, congenital heart disease, and/or other anomalies.
• Clinical responsibilities include resuscitation of newborns, care of healthy newborns, day-to-day management of babies in the Special Care Nursery, and care of hospitalized children.
• Procedures performed include circumcisions, umbilical central lines, lumbar punctures, frenulectomies, intubations, and emergent needle decompression of pneumothorax.
• Epic EMR with dictation
• Must be Board-Certified and active ACLS/NRP, or willing to obtain for assignment
• Must have an active WI license or active IMLC
• All travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered
