Locum Psychiatry | Inpatient and call | SC Alaska

We’re seeking an experienced psychiatrist for a high-impact locum tenens role in South Central Alaska. This is a 100% inpatient position with a mix of adult and adolescent patients, supporting both a mental health unit and psych emergency consults. With a 7-on, 7-off schedule and weekly earnings of over $12K, this is a rewarding opportunity to provide meaningful care while enjoying predictable time off in a community with great amenities.

Key Job Details  Schedule: •    7-on, 7-off with overnight call, 8 hour shifts •    Compensation: Make over $12k a week •    Hourly Rate: $230 •    OT Rate: $310 •    Night Call Flat Rate: $300 •    Call back Rate: $310

Responsibilities:  •    Support Mental Health Unit •    Support consults as needed in the psychiatric emergency room as well as the Children’s Hospital  •    Patient Volume: 20 Psych beds, 100% inpatient •    Patient Mix: 75% Adult, 25% Pediatric (ages 12-17) •    Staffing Mix: Physicians, APPs, RNs, techs, Mental Health Therapists

Position Requirements: •    Required Experience: inpatient psychiatry (adult & pediatric), anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, eating disorders, psychotic disorders and involuntary commitments.  •    Preferred Experience: developmental disorders, pharmacotherapy, group therapy, family therapy.  •    Active MD/DO License with State of Alaska •    Board Certified  •    Active BLS •    Active DEA Registration
